Lets start with the basics.

What you will need

• The Amiga Kickstart Rom Images for 3.1, 2.0 and 1.3
• Workbench 3.1 (5 Floppies) or Workbench 3.0 (3.1 recommended) UAE also works with 3.5 and 3.9.
• The Latest Version of WinUAE
• A Copy of Amiga In A Box (saves time)
• Alternatively Buy Cloanto's excellent Amiga Forever which comes with the Rom's. WB and a load of extra's

Note : The version of Amiga Forever used is Version 4.

So If you have downloaded Amiga in a Box and WinUAE, make sure you have the ADF versions of Workbench and the Rom images on your harddrive (these are included with AF so you can skip that part). Now run AIAB or the Amiga Forever installer and follow the instructions. Once AIAB or AF is installed, run the WinUAE installer. This will update the UAE version to the latest build. If all has gone well, you now have a shiny new Amiga residing on your hard drive.

To launch the emulation, simply start up AIAB or AF via the shortcut on the desktop.
